Main activity of the project:

Replacement and reconstruction of the internal heating system in the hospital to reduce final energy consumption.

The existing heating system is depreciated and is not used as of 2009. It is a two pipe, with forced circulation, with parameters of the coolant 80/60°C in computing terms. It is done as per radial scheme with lower distribution and is divided into separate circles for each body. The horizontal distribution pipe network runs through the basements. The pipes are heat-insulated with glass wool rope and asbestos-cement putty. The vertical network passes outdoors on the walls of the building. There are missing sections of the pipe network, the integrity of the insulation of the power lines is compromised. The heating units are cast iron radiators. The majority are dismantled.

The break fixtures are old. No thermostatic valves are mounted and actuators of the radiator valves are removed. The venting is intended to be implemented with piping 1/2″ and air compressors for each case. At present, individual electrical fixturesare used. They are located in the offices and rooms for hospital stay. All other auxiliary and service facilities are not heated. This is why the building as a whole cannot maintain the normative parameters of the microclimate and comfortable conditions for medical staff and patients cannot be created.

The horizontal piping from the boiler to the individual buildings is scheduled to be executed by black gas pipe 2″ and a steel seamless pipe over 2″. For each building a separate pipe network – “Radial” scheme with lower distribution – is planned. On the collector in the boiler room separate riser pumps, three-way valves and heat-flow meters are provided for each branch. Thus, the building is divided into zones/branches with the possibility of maintaining different temperatures – tailored to the needs and schedule of use of the premises. The main distribution pipe networks are developed under the ceilings of the hallways in the basements. There is an inclination in order to proper deaerate and drain the premises. The vertical network is developed in the open in locations, specified on the drawings. The riser valves with discharger respond to the specified in inches thread of the vertical riser pipes. The venting is local, done by automatic vents, mounted on the end of each vertical riser and secret for all heaters.

All pipes in the basement are thermally insulated with mineral wool with aluminum foil b = 30 mm.

The heaters are aluminum radiators with a height of 500 meters. It is envisaged that each heater unit to be fitted with a thermal head valve.
